Goin to the Chapel and they're gonna get .....

married.....

But first.... you can't get hitched without a "last night out" right?!

So my baby sister is getting married next weekend. We threw together a little bachelorette party for her and had a night out. Thankfully my kids were gone to IL at the in-laws farm so I was able to run away on a Thursday night (oh yea....)...

2008 04 03 015_edited-1 This was most of the krewe... a few other girls showed up a few hours later....

2008 04 03 009 J was given a list of "tasks" (aka dares) to complete for the night, of course some of them involved "spectator" participation... so this guy got the lucky draw to "serenade" her.... the piano monkeys played You've Lost That Loving Feeling and he belted it out in his best semi sober way! Great Job Mike J. (apparently my other sister knew this guy in middle school, or maybe it was high school)

2008 04 03 016 This guy gave her a blow job.... yea, gave HER a BJ..... see....

I love going to see the piano monkeys play.... it's my fave haunt in town... Rosie O Gradys where they can just about play anything you throw at them. Even THIS (gawd I love James for playing my sick little game....even if he changes up the lyrics including the line in that states "Work your cares away, holy shit this song is gay, play it anyway"

So anyhow.... here's my Piano Man

And of course.... we HAD to make Jess the star of the show... and we had them do this for her....

they sang her a song about doing it 'dog style' and it was FABulously raunchy..I have vid, but it's too big for Blogger and Youtube is taking for..eva so I give up on that crap....

A Night in Nashville

So for spring break my inlaws were awesome and wanted to take the kids for the entire week.  Thus allowing Chad and I wee little break from "mom & dad" role and instead we just got to be Chad and E...

So for the first weekend of Spring Break we met my inlaws in Nashville and got a hotel right in the midst of downtown (mere walking distance to all the honkey tonks) and the rents kept the kiddoes overnight there so Chad and I got all gussied up and headed out........

Our intentions where to check out a brewhaus called the Flying Saucer (which we did, sorry no pictures...didn't think about it in there) and sample some beers...yum.   After this the plan was to stroll along and hit Coyote Ugly Nashville, however there was a HUGE line outside and it just wasn't worth it (we'd be there before no big deal)...... however the FIL had told us about Printers Alley.  Apparently he had just been in Nashville two weeks earlier to celebrate a friends birthday for the weekend and they hit the bars in the alley.  It literally is just an "alley" nestled in between some building and off the beaten path.... see...

Notice the sign?  Yup, it does say it.... you read it right...NUDE KARAOKE!!!  Unfortunately we missed out on naked singing by drunk people...

However, we did head to the far end of the Alley to a place called Bourbon Street Blues Club and saw this....

2008 03 29 002 Yea, get you a mouthful of sauce...

No really, we saw these guys

2008 03 30 002 However, Im so horrible..I don't remember their name!

Then I got this at the end of the night (just mere moments before I convinced my inebriated husband that my feet hurt so bad in my heels that he must tote me back to the hotel on his back......)

oh and lest we forget this.... so I was taking some photos (because that's what I do... I like to get "stuff" that we can blow up for art for our house) and this gal stumbles outta the alley and says "shey there, takes a picture of meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" and proceeds to jump right in front of my camera... so I did...

Everyone say hi to drunk lady... I don't recall her name, but her friends were screaming for her to hop into the cab with them from across the street, but she was too busy posing for the paparazzi

And as a final thing... I got this shot, last shot of the night, I like it, want to blow it up for art somewhere in our house... (not sure where) but something just doesn't seem "right"... I love the lighting on the building, I love the "slope" of the photo... I think its those damned awnings that are throwing me off... any thoughts????

Give up?

I dunno, so I can always have something fun and witty to say when I am sitting around with my friends. Especially when it's a late night meetup at the Starbucks down the road (mmmmm white chocolate mocha) or most especially when I've had a beer or twelve. However, I don't seem to ever get any of my funny shit on this blog. The main reason, honestly, would be lack of time, or maybe I should just be honest and say laziness. I think of something great, something witty, something to really make people WANT to read this POS - but I either can't run to the laptop and tap tap tap away or I don't FEEL like running to the laptop.

I have two GREAT friends who have such witty and or thought provoking posts on their blogs that I just LOVE hitting their blogs and checking them out. Not to mention the blogs that they have mentioned or blogrolled that I troll around on when I've got idle time on my hands and feel the "need" to be one with my laptop............. (If you want to know who they are - the friends that is - they are on the links on the side..... my little Pessimist who still needs love too and my 40 something friend who really, really should know better)......

I dunno.... I dunno what I really want with this blog.... I wanted originally this blog to "vent" and be witty and share stories, but I find myself now unsure of what I want.... or moreso what I actually have time to do.....it seems when it comes down to the end of the day I am too tired or cant remember the witty or smartass thing I wanted to "discuss" amongst myself or perhaps it's first thing in the AM when I actually have a moment to sit and be one with my laptop and nothing witty has risen in the muck of my brain yet.....

soooo should I stay or should I go now?????
