OMFG...
the sound on this puppy is friggin awesome....
I mean... can you imagine, PORN in surround sound....
oh man......
(uh, I wonder if my mother in law still reads this....if so, L, I didn't mean what I said about the porn.... it da devil - lol)
My new love affair...
She's dead to me.... and well, to HP too I presume....
so, i have a new potential love.... I'll call her Lola.... she's a fab little gal....with integrated webcam, multi-card reader, dvd/cd burner, lightscribe and surround sound, integrated wireless (ha, we'll see how long that lasts), bigger graphics card, bigger ram, (haha ram), bigger memory and well.... she's just lovely. Oh and she has Vista - not sure how I feel about that yet...but I'm walking catiously with this Vista mess....
my only thing so far..the "mouse" area on it is bigger than on the HP so the heal of my hand keeps on touching it while I'm typing and the keyboard is shifted a little differently than the HP.
It's a new ACER (whom I found out just bought Gateway and E-Machines). It is twice the machine than the HP and was $180 less than the HP. There was a Toshiba I was looking at (same specs as the Acer here) but it was $50 MORE than the HP, I was going to go with that, however, they were out of stock, so the guy assured me they NEVER see Acers coming back to Firedog for repairs..(I bought the two year extended warranty anyhow just in case...obviously).....
Sooooooo I've already loaded in my Windows Email (formerly known as Outlook express in XP and earlier programs), now I've hopped on Blogger to tell you all (all like two of you who read this...I think there are two of you ... oh lordy, what if noone reads this? oh who cares...certainly not me, frankly I'm sure Chad appreciates my blog since I bitch less to him now)....
So ...... okay, I've got this puppy and I'm going to have a torrid love affair with her on the couch while Chad works late in these ridiculous rain and tornado conditions.......
Merry Christmas everyone....Merry Christmas...
PS: I think I might have scared the manager at the CC when I walked right in, soaked from the rain, with three kids in tow and DEMANDED what I wanted....... hahahaha he kept mumbling something about him getting in trouble for letting me return the laptop etc.... but hey, at least I got what I wanted.....
are you fucking with me?
so I picked up my beloved Lucy last night, played for a bit with her and then headed to bed. Got up this AM at 6, played some more, checked a few things out online etc., took the kids to school, came home, played with lucy some more, left to help my mom with something, picked the kids up, come home..pick up lucy to play...and WHAT THE FUCK...she's DEAD again..........the wireless is out AGAIN, the EXACT same problem I had before.............
So seriously, who's fucking with me? I'm tired of it...and in the midst of this god damned tornado watch, I intend to march my whole familiy up there (b/c chad will be needed to bail me outta jail) to Circuit City and give them a piece of my mind, tear them a new asshole, rip some heads off and yank off arms and beat their stumpy bodies with them.
I've had it .................
my blood is boiling, I can FEEL my blood pressure surging to dangerously high levels and I am ready to fucking rip blood outta people inthe middle of the Firedog department at Circuit SHITTY ASS........
BITCHES........
PS: please send donations via paypal for my bail money..it'll be much appreciated as my kids do need a ride to school in the am....

Guess who...
Oh I missed the sweet feel of the keyboard under my fingers...
the warmth of the underside on my legs
the headaches from staring at the screen for hours a day
but all that missing is over now....
Now, my beloved is back in my arms, in my lap and I feel the sweet warmth on my legs again...
awwwwwwwww now I'm off to make sweet love with Lucy and I'll be back in a few days...to talk about all the stuff I've wanted to talk about for the last month but too lazy to wait forever to type it on the old dino desktop......

What, are you kidding me...seriously???!!!
Thank GOD I pretty much got all my Christmas shopping done last week.
Yup, that was me, I was the lady that elbowed your ass and pushed your ass into that stack of strategically placed playdoh cans in Wal-mart all in the name of getting that very LAST "must have" toy! Yea, hope that cut heals well.
Seriously though...Chad and I braved the crowds (which honestly were not as bad as previous years) and did pretty much ALL of our Christmas shopping on "black friday" (which mind you I know the meaning behind the name, but I still find it racist)..... anyhoot...this year however we chose to avoid hitting Best Buy and Circuit City first off (BB altogether actually) and I think that greatly lessened the stress.
We got to Toys R Us @ 4 am to wait for the 5am opening. It was a tit bit nipply out frankly and I couldnt' drink my coffee I made for us before leaving the house because it was tooooo hot, really it was, I still have blisters on the roof of my mouth to prove it. Really, wanna see?
We got in and out of TRU in 1 hour and 15 minutes and found just about everything we really wanted - we got
k'nex, rubber pianos, spiderman figures, wii game, nintendo DS star wars lunchbox accessories kit, fur real friends newborns, a kitchen appliance set (kids duh!!), hot wheels tracks, cranium adventure fort, and some color wonder things....
Then we hit Target.... we got all kinds of great crap there... a step2 wagon, video rockers, a doodle pro for brenna, and some other things
then we kit Kmart, where we picked up more things LOL
then we hit Kohls where we bought a few more things
In the end, we spent just under $400, got all the kids done plus a few things for various family members and each other! I'm stoked....because we would have spent SOOOOO much more on any other day. We are both pleased with our purchases and now I have a 7 foot tall pile of "goods" hidden under a king size blanket in the corner of my bedroom...yea, that is gonna be fun, but I have nowhere else to put it all LOL! I put all the little items into big rubbermaid bins and then the big boxes (wagon and vid. rockers) on top and I just hope the kids dont bust into it LOL!
I put the tree up yesterday and got it all decorated. I was worried that Brenna would fuck around with it alot, but it's not her, it's her big sister that can't keep her grubby hands off! SOmething about having a tree covered in toys (literally, seriously, our tree appears to have have geoffry from toys r us just puked look) - we buy the kids (let them pick) a hallmark ornament each year - so we have spiderman, batman, barbie, blues clues, winnie the pooh, tonka, superman, star wars, oh the list goes on, all over the tree. It's topped with a beautiful stuffed winnie the pooh angel LOL!
Anyhow.... I'll share pictures maybe...
As for my laptop debacle...yea it was definately dead, it should have started it's journey to HP today for it to be erased, broken apart and rebuilt..... rest easy Lucy..rest easy..you'll be back to momma in no time (2-6 weeks according to the man in a green shirt with no sympathy to the fact that my lucy is my best friend and couldn't do any sort of rush job on you...)....
now off to stop neglecting my kids......I hear shit being thrown...can't be a good sign
11/24/2007
the sound of ***TAPS***
My wireless card in my laptop went "smell ya on the flipside" and dipped out on me. So I'm left with my precious that won't take me to my beloved internet...WAHHHHHH!!!!
I called Circuit City (and after being hung up on several times - rude crackers) and was informed this has been happening recently when Windows runs an update on the PC and then it burns up the wireless card. Not something they can fix in store of course, so wahhhhh I'm going to be without my laptop for 2-6 weeks. I'm so sad!!!
So now I'm backing up everything to disk (because I can't back up things by pulling it through the network since the card is dead!!!) and then carting it through it's funeral procession.
I'm pretty sad about it.... but I'll just eat some leftover thanksgiving eats (cookies, green bean casserole, pie, mashed taters etc) and comfort myself.
My inlaws are due in any minute, and now I suppose I have to figure out ways to entertain them since my original plan (to show them how I neglect my husband and kids while playing around mindlessly on the internet) has now been foiled.
Hey wait a minute......you don't suppose this was a big consipiracy plan do you?
I might be on to something here now....
So... it is with great sadness that I must lay my expensive HP laptop to rest, well at least for 2-6 weeks... and instead use my clunky ol' desktop....wahhhhhhhh I'm so spoiled by my laptop, I can't even properly use this clunky tick tick ticking keyboard hahah!

speaking of that vacation...
So yea...can it get worse?
I have had so many piddly things to write about, but never take the time to sit down and actually DO it.... however, I just GOTTA spill some shit.....
1) the biggest event since my last post, was on Monday I get a phone call from my sister where she says "I've got something to tell you, but you CANNOT freak out on me....".... so what do I think.. I think HOLY SHIT SHE'S
MOUTH HITS FLOOR......like ROCK BOTTOM...first time EVER in my life I have been speechless.
So I keep my word and I don't freak out on her, but promptly get off the phone, call my mom out of a meeting to tell her (without freaking out mind you) and then call Chad. Now Chad, being my lovely husband, well, he has to let me freak out on him..and I do. I start bawling and I'm unsure what to do. Panic sets in that this is it for my dad. I mean yea I've always thought about the fact that yea, I'll have to deal with it eventually (it being my parents passing away), but did I ever think it'd be when I was so young or my parents being so young (dad turned 50 this year)....nope... sure didn't.
Chad calls me back and informs me he is on his way home from work. He gets here and I pack up myself (throw in some water, diet coke for mom, magazines for us all etc) and head to the hospital. I meet my sister outside and she fills me in. Apparently dad had been having chest pain and the night before had blood pressure reading of 149/98 and he went to urgent care. They did an EKG and found evidence of heart damage (heart attack) and sent him to the ER.
Long story short...after many many many hours, several EKG's, a few CT scans, a stress test, bloodwork etc.... the
This makes me ill, I get irate inside my brain and resist teh urge to punch the fucktard in the face and walk out the door.
So dad is home, still feeling "not right", trying to take it easy and waiting to see a private physician early next week. Now I know though without a doubt, this country needs a SERIOUS healthcare makeover. My dad is uninsured. He cannot afford a private policy and he's in business for himself. The hospital did the BARE minimum (which I know is all that is required) for care I feel and that their diagnosis of "we don't know, go home" was so they didnt' have to risk the "bill" with an uninsured patient. I'm super disappointed. Things only got worse when he called his last primary care physician, but I'll spare you the details, just suffice it to say that we seriously need to see a healthcare makeover.
so on to # duece....
Brenna is sick again...she kept me up all night last night crying, scratch that, SCREAMING LIKE A BANSHEE.........so my immediate thought was....ear infection. Woke up this AM, she looks like she's been in a bar fight (her face was puffy, eye was black and swollen and just overall ick). I called the pedi, bring her in, pay my nice copayment (cough - healthcaremakeoverneededasapplease - cough) and have her seen. Great news... no ear infection..but wait, theres more...she has conjunctivitis (AGAIN!!).... CHRIST ALL MIGHTY.......
all of this coming after Elisa missed school last week due to an unexplained fever (high - 103 and such)
and then....the biggest of all...... my inlaws let us know today that they will be coming down on Friday..yea, so um, can we say FLIGHT OF BUMBLEBEE PANIC MODE HOUSECLEANING...eeeks! I mean, my house isn't a disaster zone by any means, but um, well, it's just not up to inlaws visiting level that's all.
So, I think today, I am most thankful for my Leinenkugals Berry Weiss 6 pack...thank you beer cow for producing such a fabulously fruity and tasty beverage to wash my cares away......
so I've decided..I need a vacation... and I'm going here....
(PS: go click pause on the musicbox downstairs......meaning the bottom of my blog)

Do you ever get that not so fresh feeling?
Just a little bit ago I'm in the living room on the couch, she runs through the room and I catch a wiff.......it's not poo for once (thank god) however, smells, make that REEKS of very STRONG perfume ish smell.
I immediatey got up and ran after her to investigate...what I found on the kitchen floor was the air wick air freshener plug in cartridge and then in her bedroom the actual plug in piece. Apparently she found this behind the diaper pail in her room and decided to sample taste it.
She didn't just "lick" it and get grossed out, the kid bit into the tip and actually BIT it!!! OH MY!
I rushed her to the sink, stripped her clothes off and doused her face with cool water then washed her hands with soapy water. Thought we were okay for a second while i called Chad (and handed her a cup of water to try to drink) and Chad said to give her milk. I grabbed her cup, made milk, he said there was a new pack of those air fresheners on hte shelf, so I grabbed em and read the back (do not induce vomiting - good to know) and then looked and she was turning quite red around her mouth, I hung up the phone and tossed her into the bathtub and then doused her again with soap and water. She also drank most of her milk after sipping on some bath water (ewww - but I guess better than air freshener oil).
She seems fine now, but I'm keeping an eye on her...
The good news is - my house smells fresh and clean like fresh outdoor laundry!
9/24/2007
Ac"k" as in insomniAC..............................
Its midnight...I'm tired, really I am. But apparently my brain didn't get that memo as it is still operating at ludacris speed.
I didn't sleep worth a pile of Gator poo last night since Chad so fabulously got called into work @ 10:30pm. He strolled in @ 6:30 this morning just as I gave up on getting any shut eye and rolled on outta the bed to get the kids up and going for school (okay so I rolled out at 6:50 and got them up but hell..who's counting right). So I resigned myself to feeling like a pile of washed up whale blubba for the day and got the kids off to school, stopped by moms to drop off a key, came home and showered (yea, I skipped that at 6:30 in lieu of trying to actually squeek out some sleep, even if it was only 20 mins...and I didnt even get that) and then did 6 loads of laundry (I don't know where the hell my family wears all these clothes...but I am STRONGLY thinking we should just go ahead and become nudists...it certainly would save us money on our water bill, grocery bill -no more buying detergent, bleach, oxyclean, fabric softener, electric bill, and therapy bill - that would be for me b/c I'm sure to go insane with this many "dirty" clothes around right.....)
anyhow, I digress -
so then I did the dishes, baked muffins for breakfast - uh yea so I did that before the shower and before the laundry but hell you wouldn't have known that unless I told you - , put away all that doggone laundry, picked up general clutter that got missed the night before, and then I crafted my heart out prepping for an upcoming Scrapbooking event (http://www.scrappysisters.com/ for those local yokels that might want to attend).
Check out my Stampin UP! blog in the next few days (or depending on this insomnia maybe tonight even LOL) for new uploaded projects that I'll be teaching at upcoming classes at the crop and my house
So back to my insomnia................i'm going to go compose a memo to Mr. Brain to allow me to shut down and go to SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
wish me luck

The dress...
I have however figured out one thing, can't decide though wether it's a good thing or a bad thing...but um, well, the top, lets just say it is a great top and it's fabulous that it well, frankly speaking...it holds it all in...but maybe a little TOO in because I can't seem to BREATHE in the damn thing! Which is great and all because I look pretty damn skinny in the top, but well, I'm afraid if I take in a breath I'll crack a rib.
So dilemna is - should I get it let out? or no? LOL!
I have to get the skirt shortened, obviously LOL, but also the top I need a little SLIGHT take in at the bust just because well I don't really want to give everyone a show if I bend over LOL!
Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Holy Batcrap....tootsiepops, school and other crap
Visiting the kids school last week for Open House, seeing them settled in at school, excited (well mostly) and doing so well....wahhhhh where did my babies go???!! At least I have "B" right...yea, well she is even too grown up now....she loves to play, run, and wants to do all the same "big kid" things that her big bro and sis do.
Saturday was A's birthday - he is now the BIG 07 - we had a b-day party for him on Sunday morn @ Chuck E Cheese (he loved that) with a few friends and family. I told him to get dressed for his party in something decent (school clothes) and he said "Oh, I have to wear my shirt with the 7 on it because I'm 7 now" LOL! So we had to find that specific shirt for him and he wore it with pride and told EVERYONE in the place that he was 7 now and he made sure he wore his seven shirt because of it (Old Navy t-shirt with a jersey number printed on the back LOL).
On another note for him - he can officially read. I mean seriously. The kid read an entire note I wrote to his teacher! No more spelling obscene things in front of him...which reminds me of a funny story.. maybe I'll write about it sometime LOL
E is loving school - she is thrilled to be there, to get up in the morning, to go to music, to have a backpack, to go to art............... and she comes home EVERY day wanting to invite a "friend" over - this friend is different each day (today is was James) LOL! I have NO IDEA who these kids are but she just wants us to take them home with us. Clearly she doesn't understand how these things work LOL!
As for B and myself...well I don't know who the hell I was kidding when I thought once A & E went back to school that I'd have more time for myself, ha, well I just DO NOT!!! I find myself even MORE busy...and how the hell is that anyway? I mean really....especially considering B is so awesome and still takes two naps a day (a morning nap and an afternoon nap - am is around 9 or 10 and afternoon is around 3 ish)..... the world may never know I guess. Kinda like a tootsie pop...
As for tootsie pops - did you ever sit there and actually count your licks? My ADD would get the best of me (mind you I've never been diagnosed with ADD) and I'd just say fuck it and bite the damn thing. Same with blow pops, I mean really...did those people think we'd all just sit there and lick away and wait patiently for the sweet suprise in the middle? I was also the kid (and adult) that digs for the Cracker Jack Prize, Cereal box toy etc. first, then eat the goods.
As for Halloween - my problem is solved......my BFF Nay Nay came up with something PERFECT that was necessary for me to be a part of - you'll have to attend the party or wait for post party pics to know what it is!!!! ROCK ON!
I had something else I wanted to write about, but heck if I can remember what it is....maybe I should just go dig around the kids candy box for a tootsie pop or something till I think of it...
So long
9/06/2007
But Wait..theres more...
so, I was doing dishes and heard "it's like grass on steroids" and I nearly pissed myself LOL!
I darted around the corner to see what the heck they were talking about..
I catch THIS and then went back to my dishes...
But I got to thinking......... if you use this and it's like Grass on Roids.....will the grass get Roid Rage???
Hmmmm something to think about
9/05/2007
To be or Not to be....
Heres why....... every year we go to THE halloween party at our friends R & C's house. It's a BIG DEAL and they go all out (decor, Witches Brew, etc etc etc) and EVERYONE dresses up. There are your typical "gimmes" (i.e. vampires, angels, vampire angels etc) and then some awesomely creative things (like the "lawn" guy - he was literally a "lawn" not like a lawnmower man, but the actual lawn, or of course the Milk Man and his pregnant woman (his wife), etc).
Chad and I MUST come up with something extremely awesome to just "kill it" this year and I need your help! We don't necessarily have to be "together" in our costumes, though that is always nice. We are open to individual ideas or "couples" costumes really. The more original the better of course and of COURSE we want some "humor" thrown in there as well.
So leave your comments and tell us your ideas so we can blast the place with our awesomeness (course we all know I have NO need to wear a costume to blast my awesomeness LOL...but hell it's the one time a year that people won't look at me funny for dressing up)
Now...comment away or else........hmmmmmm or else I'll leave a flaming bag of poo on your porch
8/31/2007
Interesting Indeed...
I took Sage Vivant's Erotic Personality Quiz and discovered I'm a Top!
What is your Erotic Personality? Find out now.8/29/2007
So the other night.....
We have our moments where I'd rather spit in his eye than tell him I love him, and I'm sure he sometimes feels the same about me LOL, in fact, I'm sure of it...I wouldn't want to be married to me...so frankly I think he deserves a medal for putting up with me for this long!
Anyhow, the thing is......7.5 years later, 3 kids later, umpteen moves later, two times of buying houses later, three jobs later................he still is my best friend. Even on those "spit in your eye" days......
I sit and think about the sacrifices he makes for us to be the family that we are. Moving, Changing jobs, him doing with the not so fabulous vehicle so I can have the new van to cart the kids around, putting up with people he doesn't really like or a job that he doesn't love or even like, going back to school for another degree, putting in shifts on the weekends, holidays, nights, all of this he does so we can be the family we are.
I remember a few weeks back we were all sitting around, the kids and I were talking about the excitement of going back to school and all that. Elisa pipes up with the "And when brenna gets 4 she can go to my old school like I did, and then she can turn 5 later and go to my new big school too" and I jokingly said "yea, and then mommy will have to have another baby". This is when Chad pipes into the convo... his comment "Why" and I said "Well I figure if I am gonna stay outta work, then I best be raising babies" to which his reply was simply "Honey, if you want to stay home, I want you to stay home....it's great that you can be there for the kids whenever at school or at home"............
So.....with that...you'll find that for now, the first song that pops up on the blog is Macy Gray - I Try - when Chad and I first met, this song had just started "getting out" there and we both really dug it. It ultimately ended up being the song we danced to for the first time as Husband and Wife...why...because during our dating period whenever that sucker came on we'd stop whatever we were doing and start dancing around ....well with the exception of driving...but it never failed when that song came on we connected. (Or view the vid at the end of the post)
Sometimes I think about "how it might have been" if we would have not had Aidan, or moved from St. Louis, or got married, or met, or....well you get the point, and frankly, I'm SO GLAD all of those things DID happen...... I wouldn't want it any other way......
8/26/2007
I'm married to a college man...
But I digress....
My wonderful husband......a very driven man (unless it involves housework of any sort....) has decided to take a leap (as we always seem to do...and it's never failed us yet) and go back to college. Mind you he already has a degree, a great one at that (can you sense the sarcasm......being that he picked a VERY hard degree to earn at his first go round at College and originally didn't pay well, and I guess technically still doesn't if he used his degree as applicable)...
I digress again
so he's registered for college again............he is now officially a student at University of West Florida. He'll be working for an Electrical Engineering degree, as this will be a degree that proves QUITE useful in his line of work.
I am VERY excited for him, but also a little bummed...not jealous, just bummed. Bummed because I know it is going to stress him out...and bummed because it means less time WE get to spend with him, but EXCITED because I know he really wants to do this (for us...all of us) and I know he will do GREAT in this program.
the best part is...because of his employment at the local Power company, and the nature of this second degree....well....they are paying for it.....sorta LOL! We have to pay up front, and so long as he keeps his grades up to par (shouldn't be an issue as I'll keep him away from the late night frat parties) then they will reimburse at the end of each semester.
So everyone please send well wishes as I send my biggest baby off to his first day of school on Monday..............
And thanks Mah for the new school clothes for him..he's much appreciative...apparently the playing of the video game distracted him too much to express this himself in real human words rather than caveman grunts...(and to think he tried to BLAME AIDAN for the four hours they spent playing the game today)... Kids....
So here's to sending my first child off to college............
Salut
Where that Gold at???
Go Irish...
Note: seriously people..you can't make this shit up. This is really a news report on a REAL news station. This is teh local NBC affiliate, NBC 15 from Mobile AL. The station that brings you Law & Order, Last Comic Standing, and now apparently Leprechauns...
And remember...don't get into the wrong stuff and climb any trees....you might be woooed by the Leprechaun flute....
I wanna know where that gold at....
And for your musical side... a little ditty...
Thank you Sir Leprechaun

RIP Dandy Tandy....
so Mr. Dandy Tandy, finally bit the dust...... he's down for the count, out like a light, he got knocked the fuck out...........
So she's getting a new computer (Ahhhh Leluiah.....AHhhhhhhhh leluiah)................
So my ode to Dandy Tandy shall be the first song you here when you open this page.....
Or for your reading pleasure.....
Dust in The Wind
Kansas
I close my eyes
Only for a moment,
then the momen't gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind,
ohh
Now, don't hang on
Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind Dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
The wind
You're my boy blue.......you're my boy...

Swimming or sinking?????
Eeeks, this program has a MIGHTY doggone steep learning curve that is for SURE!
I purchased Photoshop Elements 5.0 for myself for Christmast last year but never opened it. Finally I realized I would NEED to open and teach myself how to actually use it otherwise it was money NOT well spent. So I broke down, loaded it to my computer about ....hmmmmm 1.5 months ago...and uh well, ever since I think my blood pressure has been MUCH higher LOL!
That program is a doosy to learn, but I already have an "itch" to get Photoshop CS3 - the latest and greatest full throttle PS out on the market...though with the hefty ($650) pricetag, I'm pretty sure it'd take me a good long while to offer enough of those special "favors" to Chad to get that...especially after having recently gotten my baby.....(no not brenna....come on people....my CANON XTi!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Ahhh and I'm blowing off my photog class tonight...I just didn't have the energy to get up and go after Chad having been out of town for four days, four days of getting the kids to and from school, a short babysitting job today for a friend, the great goldfish massacre, and homework and dinner with the kids.....
Maybe I'll go play in photoshop??!!

Hopefully she won't mind me posting this.....at least I hope not. If you do dear, please just let me know!
GASP....Shame on me!
SOOOO much has been happening since "The Great Robbery Story" LOL!
We attended a "bluau" - yea don't ask...seriously I said DON'T ask!
We did some last minute school supply shopping (folders, markers, crayons, glue, socks, panties, oh my!!)
We saw daddy off on his road trip for work.........he gets to spend a few days in a hotel suite, all alone, no kids, eating out at fancy resteraunts on someone elses dime, ahhhh the life
I had a photo shoot for some LOVELY friends at Pensacola Beach......that was SUPER fun! I hope they enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed it..
and.... we had our FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!! well and since it's been so long, also our second day of school LOL!
I"ll share pictures once I get them off the camera......meanwhile I'm enjoying my alone time with Brenna while the kids are at school and little by little post processing the shots from the photo shoot.
Oh yea and I broke the lawn mower.........interstingly enough I seem to ALWAYS break the damn lawn mower (no matter which one) EVERY time I use it.... I suck....and so now our lawn has this wonderful haircut where it looks like the stylist got pissed and quit her job in the middle as only part of the yard is cut (3/4 of the grass) but the way I was making the diagonal laps around, there is like a perimeter cut and then a large area in the middle that isn't then a frame inside that which is cut then more middle not cut LOL - oopsy....well maybe it will be a trend and will catch on and the whole neighborhood will be doing it..............I can only hope right?

They have the Right to Remain Silent....
So back to the story - I roll into the parking lot of the Ritz Camera. I pull into a park spot and notice a few children that are hanging around a white car (like a Bonneville or the like you know) and are in their houseslippers and mismatched clothes outside fiddling with the car in the heat (it was 103 yesterday) and no adults in sight. I thought to myself "hmm where the heck are the parents and why are they fidding around in and out of this car" (sidenote - they were young, three of them, ranging probably from age 6-10 - two boys, one girl).
I dismiss this and go into the store. Walk to the far corner where the Lens filters are and start "gawking" at all my choices (cuz I'm in heaven...LOL) and ask a few questions to a clerk, then resume my perusal of all the lense filters that are hanging on the wall. I hear a bit of conversation behind me at the photo lab/check out counter, but pay no mind. A few moments later I hear a man come in talking loudly (found out on his phone once I turn around) saying "No I am here in the store RIGHT now, they are still out there" and I glance over my shoulder thinking "dang, hes upset about something" and he then goes on to tell a store clerk "Did you know they just put a bunch of merchandise from your store into the trunk of their car"....
The clerk says "Uh, no, you mean from our store?" and the old man (OM) says "yes, from your store, boxes and boxes of items, I'm on the phone with the police right now". Course by this time Im intrigued and full on turn my attention away from the lovely lens filters and to the commotion happening.
The four employees of the store then start scurrying around asking each other "did you ring anything up, no, did you" etc. Then they come to the glass case/counter at the middle rear of the store and start looking and realize several spots are empty. One clerk is on the phone with the police, the other three are speculating on what exactly is missing. Meanwhile OM is still standing there in the store on the phone also with the police. OM goes outside. Clerk tells me and the other single patron in the store we need to wait here for the police (fine with me, I haven't bought my lense filters yet, I'm not leaving LOL). Police come in, OM comes in. OM says "the three women and those kids went across the parking lot to the Wendy's" Cop says "What were they driving" OM says (while pointing out the store window) "that white car right there".
So the cop asks the OM and the store clerks if they can identify the women/kids. One clerk says sure I'll walk over (I'd venture to say he was the highest ranking person in the store) and so OM, Cop, Clerk walk across parking lot. I have lost all interest in anything photography related and now completely intruigued with this situation unfolding. The Cop comes back out to find 2 more cops have shown (one comes into the store, one waits by his patrol car in the parking lot) and in tow he has three women, and three children with him as well as the Store Clerk and the OM.
I see the cop and the extra cop walk to the white car with the women, make them pop the trunk open and apparently it was full, they immediately cuffed the women and placed them in cruisers, then one cop starts bringing items inside the store while another stays outside with the children/suspects. I hear the cop with an armload of stuff say to the clerks "Is this stuff from your store?" The clerk starts "ringing" items up checking to see if they belong to that store and yes, most all of it did, however a few items did not. So the cop then tell s them he needs a list of the items as well as the price. (last # I heard said between two clerks was "that's like $2500 worth of stuff right there" but the cop was still toting in items).
The police questioned us on what we saw etc. They had the three women in custody. I also overheard the kids apparently where loading things into the car (that is what the OM saw from his car in the parking lot) while the adults were apparently int here asking stupid questions to distract the employees.
The people thought they had gotten away with it I guess and decided to have a celebratory meal over at Wendys while they left their car full of stolen goods in the parking lot of the store they just robbed.
I was allowed to leave, but had a police cruiser (with one suspect inside and an officer also inside) parked right behind my car. After walking back in the store and waiting another 20 mins or so I finally walked out and kinda motioned that it was my car that the officer was parked in front of, to which I got a dirty look, but he did however back away.
Oh and I did buy the lens hood, and THREE new filters for my camera LOL!
So I might be rethinking this whole photography is a great hobby/business, low stress, fun etc. thing.

Mad Cow....
Poor Brenna and I took a trip to the pediatrician yesterday......as a sidenote, she's 15 months and now weight 23 lbs 6 oz (23lb 12 oz with her sippy cup in hand).
Anyhow, so the other day she had this one single spot on her hiney. Looked like a pimple really, I didnt fuss with it. Then next diaper change it looked a little raw, so I put some Neosporin on it. Two days later it appeared to be clearing up. Then 6 days after it first appeared it got worse again and popped open into an actual open ouchie (like a mosquito bite that has been scratched and scratched and scratched) so I put Neo on it and thought we were good to go. Then Monday morning she woke up covered in a diaper rash and had these little pimple looking spots on her bottom lip right at the lipline. As the morning progressed by a few hours, the "diaper rash" was spreading and had now speckled her thighs and to the top edge of her diaper. I also noticed some "speckles" on her face. I called the nurse at the Pedi office who said I should bring her in. So I did.......
$25 and a few hours later.......I find out my poor wee one has Hand, Foot & mouth Disease! Also known as the "Coxsackie A" virus.
Normally she is my very laid back, easy going kid, but today, well today she hasn't been LOL! She's very clingy and tired and drooly. To top it all off (and personally I think this is the main culprit for her unease) is she is popping four teeth all at the same time.
Her blisters on her lip line were numbered @ 7 yesterday, today there are only four. Her hiney looks a bitbetter, but I noticed blisters on her feet today (didn't notice them yesterday though). Doc says this will play itself out in about a week...so we'll see what happens!

haha - now that is great
It says it was based on the use of the word "crap" x2 and "shit" x1
Guess it's a good thing I haven't REALLY let my mouth fly yet huh...
7/31/2007
What the heck????
sooooo today started off shitty...I should have known it would not have gotten better right.....
9am, the phone rings, Chad hops up and answers without looking at caller id (HELLOOOO there is a reason we pay for that service for christs sake) and it's work, he has to come in NOW.
I have a class @ 2pm, great, I have a Stampin UP! class to teach, and 3 kids running amuck and my sister and my parents are all out of town to Tampa...........crap..oh well, we'll make do right...
9:15, Elisa come strolling out of her room, she didn't put on a pull up last night, so she peed all over herself and bed (nope, didn't get upset, not worried about that at all..just learnign to roll with it) so put her in the bath (she wanted to use my bathroom instead of hers), then go about the rest of my stuff (doing dishes, laundry, stripping her bed down etc).
She comes out, we get dressed, I made a deal with the kids about not interuppting mommies class and then we did lunch. I had my class (it actually went really well) then Chad gets home from work (he convinced his boss he HAD to go home, evne though I was almost done with my class thoug) and I finish up with class. He starts to take a shower, I go in and am chatting with him and realize the tub isn't draining.
Well we get to working on that issue when he gets out. Toilet flush, hmmmm it starts backing up to the tub. CRAP! (not literally thank god LOL). So we start plunging , not working, toilet not flushing, shessus. So okay, we decide to open the drain line that is outside on the carport area, that's not seeming to work. I got looking at my parents house for his plumbing snake, can't find it but find a metal tape, we try that, not working, so finally we break down and go to Home Depot and rent a plumbing snake ($22) and then come home, snake the lines, try snaking toilet, but can't seem to get it through the toilet (thinking it is because it is the hairpin turn)....well we keep messing, we take the hose and run it through the lines, nope, not backing up, that says "OMG IT IS THE TOILET!!!" so head back to the depot, $100 later, we have a new toilet (and seat and wax ring and bolts etc), we install it, and.............
HOORAY IT FLUSHES AND DRAINS JUST FINE!!!
Thanks god, cuz if not, I was gonna pull a karate kick and bust that shit!

Fly Lady Beware...
I did however do a big "fling" as I think is a term in the "Fly Lady" land of thinking/cleaning. I have now got a nice pile for Freecycle and a nice pile of Scrap Mags that I think I'm going to try to sell off on Ebay. I'm pretty excited with myself. However of course I'm not "finished" yet, but I will do that tomorrow.
So now.....after I finish watching Traveler I will need to continue the cleaning momentum and do the dishes and fold the towels I washed yesterday LOL!

Well I had a little mission given to me on Saturday..................redo the dining room. Something Chad and I knew we wanted to do since the beginning of time...or okay so since we bought the house. Anyhow, so Saturday became the day.........we went to Lowes, bought the goods, and came home. I figured, "hey I need like an hour and a half and I can have this painting done"..yea well...two days LATER I am FINALLY finished. I started out about 4:30pm on Saturday by stripping the border that was up at the top of the wall. Then we had people coming over @ 6pm - well about 5:45 the first few showed up, so I figured I would jsut finish the stripping then call it a night. Renee helped me strip for a bit, then we finished, I slapped a small patch of paint on the walls just so I could see what it looked like.
Sunday, I went in and started up @ 9:30am - I finished finally at about 9:30 last night with a lunch break, dinner break and a few "dang it is hot in here" breaks.
I ended up needing a second gallon of paint, Chad bought a different brand paint and the colors didn't even REMOTELY match, so I had to REPAINT everything rather than just touch up! I painted the baseboards and the chair rail, and then we hung the chair rail this morning. I hung the curtains (hand me downs from mom that were already in the room, just given a good washing) back up this morning after breakfast. I'm quite pleased with it. Wish I would have taken a "before" picture.
Previosly nothing was on the wall cept a clock and a coyote ugly calendar, the walls were semi gloss cream color and there was a border at the top that was magnolia blooms.
Anyhow - here is what it is NOW...........the prints on the wall were the catalyst for the room. Chad and I bought those on our last trip to New Orleans for our Anniversary in April. We saw them and had to have them and knew we wanted them in a room, so we decided the dining room was PERFECT! Well ........you be the judge....
This is the view looking in from the doorway towards the back right of the room
This is the view from the doorway looking to the rear left of the room - the room on the other side of the cutout wall is our living room - the couch sits on the other side of the wall
This is the view towards the front of the room (left of doorway) See boo boos high chair LOL the dark 'abyss' is where the kitchen is. the paned swinging door leads to the other foyer to our bedroom and Brennas room
this is the left side wall - shares to the living room. I will be painting the insides of the cutout 'windows' in the same mocha brown as the chair rail and the baseboards, but likely will wait until I paint the living room because I want it to "flow" properly
And this is the view into the dining room from the living room so you can see the cutouts from the other side. We'd remove those three center "posts" except I'm pretty sure that "wall" is load bearing therefore can't remove those posts as our house would fall in LOL!
And yes, I haven't taken my hooks down from the ctockings at christmas, at this point I don't think I will, unless I paint the walls in here before Christmas 2007 LOL!
So leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
Oh and the table cloth, that is pretty much the color of my kitchen.....

Leaving...on a Jet plane....
We leave in just a few hours for IL. We'll be visiting family, friends and being a part of Amys wedding day (Chads sister). I'll be sure to share photos when we return. The kids are in the wedding as well so I'm sure that will make for some GREAT photos...what a bummer that I haven't been able to go pick up my new digi camera yet......
I'm just flitting around the house tying up all those proverbial loose ends before we leave!
Guess we'll find out how much (or little) Brenna will enjoy flying!!! I'll keep you posted!
